Since March 2000 Olaf Nitz works as an independent consultant for digital media. He specializes in social media, search engine optimization and online marketing, is a regular speaker at industry conferences and furthermore a lecturer in online communications at the University Eichstätt and the University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten.

From 2008 until 2012 Olaf Nitz was Head of Digital Media Strategy at the Austrian National Tourist Office, where he was responsible for all digital channels including social media, mobile and over 50 country portals and multiple apps.

In previous years he works for multiple advertising agencies as an account manager. The last position he held in that field was Head of Online Markting in one of Austrias biggest Online Marketing Agencies leading a team of web developers, designers and account managers.

He studied media production and e-business.
